Anyway, here are my thoughts:
Synopsis: This a very original take on one of the most beloved fairytales of all times. I am not one for fairytales...but if Cinderella becomes Cinder, the best mechanic in New Bejing (and a cyborg!)... well, I'm all in ^_^ So, think a dystopian, sci-fi Cinderella with a kick ass main character.
What I liked:
The book is written with remarkable skill, a truly enjoyable read. The plot is gripping, the characters have depth, the dystopian world is weaved with masterful creativity, the humor and emotions peppered through the pages make it impossible to stop reading. Also, as a scientist, I was very pleased to find most science references, although maybe vague, not wrong and at least conceivable. I truly appreciated that! I also really liked Iko, one of Cinder’s sidekicks and a true firecracker.
