When I write a book I go over it anywhere between 10 and 50 times.
I wrote four books so far, one is published and is having tremendous success (YAY! Thank you guys ^_^) and book 2 will be released on January 30th.
FOR EVERY SINGLE BOOK, once I thought I was done, once I thought I was just touching up with the final edits, I had a moment, a crazy idea to go back and make one major change, for example switch tense, add a main character, remove a main character, remove a chunk of chapters, merge two books into one and ditch half of the project (yeah, I had 5 books at one point, not 4...), alter the timeline. If you are a writer you know that these are major changes that will cause a huge delay in finishing a book. It’s terrifying, I thought I was done and there I am, thinking to make a major mess and go back to drafting.
1-The snag: While I’m normally very engaged in reading my own writing, after 10-50 times of rereading a book I find myself bored with some chapters or annoyed with some parts.
